A man who specializes in automotive detailing left internet users shocked by the price he charged for cleaning an Audi.
In a video shared on his TikTok profile, Arvin met with the owner of the Audi for the service. She told him what had been bothering her, which included a bit of “sand” inside the vehicle.
The clip then cuts to Arvin performing a deep cleaning on the Audi, which included washing the driver’s and passenger’s seats, which were quite dirty, as well as a full detailing both inside and out.
When Arvin returned the vehicle to the owner, she was very impressed. “The paint looks so much better. It looks like a new car,” the woman said upon seeing her refreshed Audi. At the end of the service, he charged a total of US$225 for the work. She even asked if he wanted a tip, to which he replied that it was enough for her to leave a positive review.
Despite the dramatic improvement in the car’s appearance, the price of the service left internet users stunned. “225 is a joke, I can’t believe anyone would pay that,” one TikTok user commented in the video’s comment section. “It [costs] £20 in the UK,” said another.
A third user argued that they could do the service themselves. “[For] US$8 at the local car wash that has free vacuums, towels, and tire spray and shine and protective wipes from the dollar store, total of $12 and 1 hour I can have the car cleaner than that,” they claimed.
